Getting Started

Everything you need to know to make the most of AI Trip Tracker.

Quick Start

Get up and running with AI Trip Tracker in three simple steps:

Sign up for a free account at aitriptracker.com. No credit card required -- your 14-day trial starts immediately.
Forward a booking email to [email protected] from the email address you registered with. Our AI will parse the confirmation and add it to your trips automatically.
Paste booking text directly into the app if you prefer. Copy the confirmation text from any email or website, paste it in, and the AI will extract all the details.

Email forwarding is the fastest way to add trips. Here is how it works:

Forward any booking confirmation email to [email protected].
The "From" address of your forwarded email must match the email you registered with. This is how we match incoming emails to your account.
Our AI reads the email content and extracts flights, hotels, car rentals, and activities.
Parsed bookings appear in your trip list within seconds. If a trip with matching dates already exists, the booking is added to that trip.
You can forward emails from any airline, hotel chain, or booking platform -- the AI handles a wide variety of confirmation formats.

You can also import bookings manually using a confirmation code:

Tap the + button and select "Import Booking."
Enter the confirmation code (also called a PNR or record locator) and the last name on the booking.
The app will look up the booking directly from the airline's reservation system and import the full itinerary.
This method works best for airline bookings. Hotel and activity imports are supported via email forwarding or text paste.

AI Trip Tracker monitors your flights in real time:

Live status updates: Flight status is checked automatically and updated throughout the day of travel. You will see whether your flight is on time, delayed, or cancelled.
Gate and terminal info: Gate assignments and terminal changes are displayed as soon as they are published by the airline.
Delay reasons: When available, the app shows the reason for a delay (weather, air traffic control, mechanical, crew, etc.).
Arrival tracking: Estimated and actual arrival times are updated continuously so you or anyone tracking your trip knows exactly when you will land.

Need a ride after landing? AI Trip Tracker integrates with ride-sharing services:

After your flight lands, a "Request a Ride" button appears on your flight card.
Tap it to open Uber or Lyft with your arrival airport pre-filled as the pickup location.
Your destination (hotel or saved address) is suggested automatically based on your trip itinerary.
This feature uses deep links to the Uber and Lyft apps. Make sure you have at least one of them installed on your device.

Share your trip details with travel companions, family, or colleagues:

Open any trip and tap the Share button to generate a shareable link.
Recipients can view the trip itinerary, flight statuses, and real-time updates without needing an account.
Shared links are read-only and can be revoked at any time from your trip settings.
Sharing is perfect for keeping family updated on your travel progress or coordinating with travel companions.

Stay informed with push notifications for all your travel updates:

When you first log in, the app will ask for notification permission. Tap Allow to enable push notifications.
You will receive alerts for flight delays, gate changes, cancellations, and boarding reminders.
Notifications work even when the app is closed, as long as it is installed as a PWA or the browser tab is active.
You can customize notification preferences in your account settings -- choose which alert types you want to receive.

AI Trip Tracker is a Progressive Web App. Install it for the best experience:

iOS (Safari): Open the app in Safari, tap the Share button (square with arrow), then tap "Add to Home Screen." The app will appear as an icon on your home screen and run in full-screen mode.
Android (Chrome): Open the app in Chrome. You should see an "Install" banner at the bottom of the screen. Tap "Install" or go to the Chrome menu and tap "Add to Home Screen."
Desktop (Chrome/Edge): Look for the install icon in the address bar (a small monitor with a down arrow) and click it. The app will install as a standalone window you can launch from your applications.
Installing as a PWA enables offline access to your saved itineraries, faster load times, and a native app-like experience with push notifications.
